Getting to Lazarevskoye — train, plane, car and transfers

Lazarevskoye is part of Greater Sochi, so every route into Sochi works. Each one has its own best use — picking the right one depends on where you are coming from, your budget and how much luggage you have with you.

By train

The cheapest, slowest and most scenic option. Lazarevskoye has its own station — most southbound long-distance trains stop here. The train pulls in right next to the sea: 5 minutes walking to the beach. Suburban «Lastochka» trains run all the way along the coast every 20–40 minutes; very convenient for moving around Greater Sochi.

• Moscow → Lazarevskoye: 24–28 hours, from ≈ 4,000 RUB seated, from 7,000 RUB sleeper.
• St Petersburg → Lazarevskoye: 36–40 hours, from ≈ 6,000 RUB.
• From the Black Sea coast (Adler, Tuapse): «Lastochka» — 30 min to 2 hours, 300–700 RUB.

By plane

Fastest. Fly to Sochi airport (Adler), then transfer to Lazarevskoye:

• Taxi or transfer: 1h 20min, 2,500–4,000 RUB.
• «Lastochka» train Adler → Lazarevskoye: 1h 20min, 350 RUB.
• Marshrutka 105: 1h 50min, 250 RUB (slower, more crowded).

From Moscow: 2h 20min in the air, from 4,000 RUB one-way in low season.

By car

Best if you have luggage, kids or plan side-trips. The M-4 «Don» highway is excellent down to Krasnodar, then through Goryachy Klyuch and Dzhubga toward Sochi. The last 100 km along the coast is the famously scenic but slow part — bus stops, locals, lots of bends. Allow 16–20 hours from Moscow.

Transfer from the airport / station

Bottom line

Best balance: plane to Sochi + a «Lastochka» train to Lazarevskoye. Fast, predictable, and you arrive 5 minutes from the beach.
